Our experiences

My partner and I were both not the type that like to stuff a lot of activities in one day, so we tend to leave a lot of flexible time and decide when we get to the place.

Kuala Lumpur definitely had a lot to offer. For our limited stay, we spent most of our time wandering around the city and finding local Malaysian food. Our main goal of this trip was to hike Mount Kinabalu in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. (Read my post about hiking Mount Kinabalu here) In addition, my partner was also very interested in seeing Brunei since we were on the Borneo island already, so we decided to spend 3 days exploring a new country. It costed a bit of time to move around, but it was a nice add-on besides tanning on the beach. We booked a private water safari tour to see the famous Probosics monkey (the long-nosed monkey) and the floating village.

2 weeks was not enough to see everything. We would love to revisit and spend more time checking out other cities of Malaysia and perhaps try some water activities like snorkelling and diving. Or perhaps just book a nice resort and enjoy warm tropical breeze with a cold drink in our hand watching sunset.
